On your first visit you will be offered some paperwork to be filled in.  Information about you, your current problem, medical history and any accidents or injuries you have sustained will be recorded.  Your lifestyle, job, family history, dietary habits and other care to date may also be discussed.    You will then be taken to a private consultation room where you will be offered a gown.   The chiropractor will then perform an examination which may include:

• standard orthopaedic and neurological tests
• observation of posture to assess biomechanical stresses
• examination of individual joints
• X-Ray imaging (when clinically necessary)

After the initial consultation, a detailed explanation of the findings will be given.  The chiropractor will explain the diagnosis made and the course of treatment most appropriate.  If your problem is one we can help with, then a course of treatment will then be recommended.  Occasionally when we are unable to treat your condition, we will refer you to someone who can.
